Simulation doesn't mean fake. It means efficient. If this universe can be simulated minus the heavy load, it probably is, because it would be more efficient.

Indeed. Also, there's a lot less suffering going on than the world-illusion appears to suggest. Only meaningful experiences are real.

I highly doubt all of the stars are 'loaded-in', and presume they're all projections; mere essences of themselves that become real when someone is local. That's not to say their local state doesn't exist already loaded in for some far away species. The point of simulation is just that, it can minus the load for every one whilst keeping everything existing.
