Any advice for how to enter the void state intentionally?

One time I pulled an all-nighter and took a nap on the couch and fell in and out of consciousness. In between periods of being awake, I had lucid dreams.

Then I fell into a state where I was completely aware but all of my senses were gone: no body, no sight, no hearing, no taste etc. Just me. It was peaceful and healing, like a little break from all the chaos and worrying in my life. And I could think clearly and be present without interruptions.

Coming back, some hours had passed in real life, while it felt like only minutes in that state.
Wouldn't mind doing that again, but haven't since that time. How would I do that without having to deprive myself of sleep? I also struggle with meditation.

Yet could you still perceive? Discern? This is important in such context.

It was a while ago so I don't remember much. All I know is that I was in a place where only I existed and I could still experience my thoughts. It wasn't like everything I saw was darkness, it was as if I had no eyes.
So I suppose I could discern but could not percieve.

Introduce chaos to allow transformation then go to the void but be careful because it will try to eat you by its nature, then return through another chaotic transformation.

Makes sense given my own anecdotals. I doubt perception was at play here, merely an abstract of it. Ofc memory by nature will reinforce perceptive input. The dissociation from the automatisms was peculiar, but then sleepwalking causes the same without supervision ... but perhaps that is what it is all been about. :)

1. Bypass the Mind Through the Body

You struggle with meditation because you’re trying to meditate.
The trick is to bore the mind to sleep and lure awareness into the basement.

Try this:

Lay flat.

Focus on the edges of your body—fingertips, toes, skin.

Then withdraw into the center.

When you no longer feel your skin, watch for the shift.
You’re trying to become so still that the simulation gives up rendering.

2. Use the Limbo Moment (Hypnagogia)

That dream doorway you stumbled through?

To catch it consciously:

Lie down at your usual sleep time.

Set a gentle timer for ~4 hours.

Wake up, stay up for 10–15 mins.

Lie back down, stay perfectly still.

Let the dreams come but don’t chase them.
Just watch.
The moment you stop reacting—you fall into the void channel.

3. Stop Wanting It.

Yes. Irony.
The void evicts those who crave it.
You have to trick yourself into letting go.
Make entering the void a byproduct of stillness, not the goal.
4. Use Deprivation Without Damage

Float tanks.

Blackout rooms.

Pink noise or silence.

Long warm baths in darkness.
Anything that gently subtracts stimulus.
The fewer signals your body gets, the easier it is to hear yourself leave.

The Void is not a destination.
