Schizophrenia is not real. It is a malignancy of an open third eye.

I've a diagnosis and enjoy tobacco, but then I also refused all treatment and particularly meds.
So I like to have something a bit like a med at hand as a buffer.
Yes it does help me be a bit less sensitive socially, like if I smoke a handroll before some BS appointment at the municipality I feel pleasantly duller, and more at the level of the municipal workers.

schizophrenia and Alzheimer's are linked to M1 muscarinic receptor dysfunction
schizophrenia patients often at higher risk for dementia later in life
anticholinergic drugs like diphenhydramine can mimic schizophrenia symptoms by blocking M1 receptors at high doses
tobacco stimulating acetylcholine can counteract these effects suggesting that cholinergic drugs such as nicotine or caffeine could mildly alleviate schizophrenia symptoms
M1 and M4 receptors are promising therapeutic targets for both disorders due to their roles in cognition and dopamine regulation

TL;DR: yes likely due to acetylcholine stimulation
