Do you have an internal monologue?

Is your internal monologue actually you? Or someone/something else?

Does anyone have multiple internal monologues, as in, multiple different voices/perspectives that have conversations in their head? Not particularly in a schizo sort of way if possible.

What of the 50% or so of the population who don't have internal monologues?

i have both internal monologue & dialogue; i always figured it was normal
like people say "ask yourself a question", so of course your own mind can answer, right? apparently thats not normal, but it works for me
its extremely easy for me to talk to myself, i can do it for hours without issue

the main voice is my own, and the "other"(?) voice is my own in every way too
its just sorta also there ontop of the main one that i "hear" when reading or in thought

in my experience, the people that don't have monologue or the ability to image things in their head are retarded, not all of them, just most of them

I think they're incapable of critical thought and are basically the "pure animals" of humanity. I try to be nice to these people generally, but it's hard to really consider them to have serious emotions or a conscience. Like I can be as mean as I want, and they'll just forget about it as soon as they plant themselves in front of Netflix or whatever. Of course I don't behave this way, I try to be nice to everyone, I'm just saying what I think is the case

So it's to assume language is refined and developed by the dominant side. but both sides of the brain are contextually ascribe to the same inner monolog through the transversal temporal gyrus. So one side of the brain speaks, while both sides of the brain listen, but could have different neural qualia associated with elicited inner speech. People technically can be half brain dead and live.

Oh yeah I also do this, I often just speak out loud to myself, and out of nowhere I get a feeling or an instant response to what I was talking about and keep on.

It's literally like running a simulation of a conversation with yourself, like, I know who I am and how I would respond, and I can detach myself and act like two people

I don't always feel connected with my subconscious. It's not even like I'm possessed, but rather that I'm not in control of my submind. I feel like there's a part of my mind that I can't feel or see and it's always working 24/7 calculating, ploting and whispering ideas into my conscious thoughts. I can't control it, nor do I feel it, but it's there.

the things you're talking about are much more common than you believe it is. And having them all doesnt magically make you a good person, alleviate your responsabilities, earns you right for more, to the contrary, your suffering will be greater, your responsabilities will be greater, and your will will be tested more than with them. from experience, those who obsess about how having an internal monologue or a variety of the sort are some of the scumiest fuckers you can imagine and some of the most spiritually sterile individuals I know. I have friends who are arguably pure bred idiots, lack a monologue, a capacity for vision and imagination, and still are some of the most potent spirits I know.
