In the late 90s I was a teenager that was into Art Bell and all that goes along with that. In September of 2001, my Grandpa was visiting town. He was a fairly prolific scientist and professor, received awards, was nominated for a Nobel prize, had met presidents, etc. My dad was a physician for the local medical system. During my grandpa's visit, my dad said that there was going to be a talk about aliens and UFOs given to the local doctor group from this guy named Greer. My dad knew I was into all of that stuff so the three of us went downtown to his talk. It just happened to be on September 11th, 2001. We listened to Greer give his speech and take some questions. One thing I can tell you is that his speech hasn't changed much in the last 25 years. Maybe a little more woo woo spiritual stuff now, but most of his talking points haven't changed. During the talk, Greer name dropped some people in government that were in specific positions... positions of people that my Grandpa new personally, except that Greer was naming people that my Grandpa had never heard of. Was he just making shit up? I don't know, but ever since then I have taken everything Greer has said with a grain of salt.

It seems to me he got consumed by his ego over time, but I have to give it to him that he did provide a platform for quite a handful of witnesses in the early 2000s, some of their testimonies are interesting/strong.
