Holy spirit is Christian. Jews dont believe in it. Holy Spirit is the difference between why Jews have to do all the weird rituals and Christians just have to accept Christ. The Jews dont believe that God is intrinsically in them so they have to purify themselves to approach him with ritual. It's been said OP that there would be no doubt when the Holy Spirit is poured out, and if you have to ask the question as to whether you have received it, then you should seriously consider that you probably haven't.

Check the bible for when others receive the Holy Spirit, try to understand when and why it fills people - that will give you some indication of how God works.

Lastly, generally if your thoughts and actions are in contrast to Jesus; His nature, His behaviour, His thoughts, His ways as detailed in scripture, then again you should question what sort of spirit it is you feel is guiding you, 'test the spirits'.
