Why the fuck do we pretty much worship free will?
Hear me out. Someone can be free to murder someone because muh free will.
But if someone “hears voices” we hospitalize them against their will. Not my fault God talks to me.

I was just talking about free will in another thread. Its a matter of disconnection from divine light. You're "free" to disconnect yourself from divine light but in the end that disconnection is never going to serve you. Therefore "freewill" is more accurately understood as "confusion". And this is why angels are often said to have no free will or very little free will. They suffer from very little confusion.

It’s a questions that has been answered a few times throughout history by different philosophers. Plato and Marx both would say our cultural worship of freewill is predetermined by the type of society we will in. If you ever feel like reading, Plato actually describes what happens in a democratic society with such accuracy over 2,000 years ago that you would think he’s describing the US right now.
