Its the only ancient society you can actually feel through history. The pyramids are the most powerful thing ever built by humans and it was done 6000 years ago.
Not even the greatest cathedrals of later societies feel as powerful as the pyramids. Not even current societies 100 floor skyscrapers.
Landing on the moon also seems less meaningful, like you are not even supposed to be on the moon, it just feels like that is society doing something wrong landing on the moon.

Seeing a pharaoh in egypt at the peak of their powers with the enormous pyramids would of been awe inspiring.

Pyramids are just rocks stacked up. Impressive, but not as impressive as intricate works like the acropolis of Athens or Empire State Building.

the pyramids will outlast the acropolis without repairs and upkeep, in terms of time, it will last longer

the acropolis looks better but will not nearly last as long without constant human intervention

someone could find geological evidence of the pyramids in a billion years possibly, long after humans are gone or have changed
