What used to hold me back was the thought that it is silly and primitive. Impossible to prove in a way that is believable to modern people. It seems useless.
But even if this energy were not a real phenomenon, only creating a placebo effect. I had to face the fact eventually that my grandparents, who believed in this sort of thing, were happier, more successful and more prepared for the inevitable or even unexpected eventualities of life. And now I think the spiritual part of life is a significant aspect of their success.
This was eventually enough to convince me to open my mind to it. I've done a little reading, a lot of it is instinct and observation. For example, I knew about most of the "energy clusters" which I described in this post
>>40708757 before I knew about chakras. I was not aware of the throat or crown chakras but I applied the same practice to those areas and eventually opened them after learning.
Basically I think ones mind needs to be prepared with belief, whichever it arrives to that belief.
I do not know if spirituality will survive much longer into the future but I'd like it to and I am confident it can.
