Which may be true up to a certain point, but I think that there is a key difference between operating out of a point of ignorance -which these dumb ''musicians'' are doing if they're acting as middle men between TPTB and the consumers- and working from a place of deep, dark desires to annihilate fabrics of reality and assimilate with forces that are beyond our understanding, nevermind them possibly being malevolent. It's their connections, their carefully taken care of legacy, and their continuously growing popularity that has me asking all sorts of questions. I'm not sure if this sort of occultic fascination has ever been more easily accepted by large strands of society ever since the pagan days. John/Jhonn Balance falling to his death at an early age strikes me as the sort of cosmic irony you shouldn't mess around with.
The only band that may come close to them in terms of /x/itude is black metallers Dissection, more specifically their leader Jon Nodtveidt. QRD

Sir Richard bishop, formerly of sun city girls, is the most occult musician I know of, mainly because I spent a solid thirty minutes discussing magic and ritual with him. Got to see him open for swans years ago and this was at the height of of my fascination with magic so I grabbed the opportunity.
He essentially said his songs are rituals and he often uses them to communicate with various entities. He said the ritual magic he used was most similar to order of the golden dawn. Overall very cool man.
