Static is the result of an old analog television taking in all of the surrounding electromagnetic radio waves and outputting a seemingly random image to the screen. Once your heart stops beating and your lungs stop breathing, should your soul fail to reincarnate, or should you fail to pass on to the next world, your brain continues to take in stimuli. Your senses are laid bare to an infinite sea of tiny blacks and whites, as that is all it is able to parse.
