BOTH positive and negative feelings tell you about where you are
Everything that comes from within you tells you about the state of your soul.
If you don't like what's coming from within then you have to fix it at the soul level.
If you just pretend your negative feeling was a good one, or you pretend what makes you feel bad actually makes you feel good, then you're basically doing the spiritual equivalent of treating the symptom rather than the cause.
Feelings are not creators, they're creations.
The way to fix negative emotions is not to ignore them, but treat them as a signpost that's telling you about the state your soul is in. You don't fix them by lying to yourself that you love what you don't like.
Also, don't fall into the trap of thinking that only your Ego has to change. That belief is what keeps you spiraling back to the idea that all you can ever do is "learn to love" the shit you don't like, because you believe deep down that it cannot change.
Negative feelings are only telling you that there's a mismatch/contradiction in your state of being. It might be that your Ego has to change, but it also might mean that the external world has to change.
I know most spiritual people are afraid to ever consider that the world is what needs to change (and this fear is what keeps your external world stagnant). Ironically it's actually NOT egoic to think that the world needs to change (it's only egoic if you think ONLY the external world needs to change), because you ARE more than your Ego, so it's about both your Ego and external world changing _together_.
Thinking it's only your Ego which must change keeps you stuck trying to solve half the problem, instead of fixing the entire picture as a whole.
You must begin to familiarize yourself not with just emotion/thought/feeling, but with the place within from which those things arise. Don't be so afraid to have a negative emotion. It tells you where it came from. It tells you what needs to be fixed deeper within.
