I need advice on whether to pursue the Quareia course as my entry into the occult, or to try something else?

in that case, from what I know, Quareia and Bardon are the best entries into magick, not the occult.

but i dont know much about quareia. i heard its pretty good, and you get to work with spirits quite early. for bardon, you prepare your soul, body and mind to then work with spirits much, much later

theres also golden dawn traditions, thelema or similar shit, where you work with fancy rituals and names you dont understand, evoking spiritual entities with the help of egregores and having a more structured plan.

lastly, you could look into the eastern paths, like tantra, yoga, vajrayana, which i know little about.

and about the monk thing, i get it. the aim with bardon so that you get to know the All, the One, the Source, which you could say theres a religious aspect to it. thats what mysticism is.

If you don't have any other options and don't feel like going it alone, I say go for it.
