I've no use for wild, material claims of spacefaring races that none can prove. I'm more interested in discussing the metaphoric associations that birds have within the human zeitgeist. To me an avian nature calls to those who are unbound to physicality, who only come down from the clouds in their head to feed, sleep, etc. They are noticeably inverse to humans, their males dress up to attract a mate not their females. Winged angels come to mind but I've worked with exotic birds before and seen raptors, they can be more vicious and unfeeling than many associations like to admit.
