does anyone have any experience with enochian magick?
Skinner says that most of the system is missing, including the protections you are meant to take beforehand. Everyone I know says it's dangerous, avoid it, and have stories of people going mad/fucked up their lives.

All magic is equally dangerous, regardless of its culutural aesthetic, if you believe it to be potentially dangerous. Mastery of evil forces requires undaunted faith, and confidence of will. Again, this is true regardless of cultural aesthetic.

He's too much into goetia and doesn't consider theurgy to be true magic. Even though goetia by it's very nature can only affect things in the mundane world. However it has to be admitted his Techniques of Greco-Egyptian Magic book is excellent for it's charts that are found nowhere else and the academic insight. He will admit that a lot of these things were theurgic in nature and not related to base sorcery.

If you want spiritual connections you already have them. Maybe you don't realize it but you're being watched by many beings. The Gods, Angelic souls, daemonic souls, heroic souls, ancestors and also those more material and malevolent. My experiential advice, don't dabble in this. Good luck.
