>mfw there are still "magicians" who don't know that healthy human beings use both a right hand and a left hand

You could even say that helping oneself and helping others are the same thing because we all inhabit the same ecosystem at the end of the day. By helping others I'm helping myself and by helping myself I'm helping others. Thinking these concepts attributed to left and righ hand path are where people get it messed up.

I've always seen it as a matter of if you want to become godly or if you want to serve God.

How do you know God doesn't want us to become godly? As tired as this adage is the modern idea of God is greatly held back by Abrahamic religions. It seems that's all of us in the west can talk about.

Electrons have "spin" which allows them to exist in the same suborbit without repelling each other. They don't meaningfully spin because they're waves but this description gives the idea that one is doing one thing and the other is doing another which allows that coexistence. Most of the basic calcs could be done calling it anything- black and white, cat and dog, boy and girl, whatever. The point is that they're doing different things and that's all you need to understand from the metaphor. It doesn't need to go deeper.
Your mistake here is taking the analogy too far and assuming some kind of center ground as an intuitive equality. It's not, however. Yes, you have to have money to eat so you have thr energy to help people. Life is a consumptive act. Harmony does not necessarily exist at the precise center of every two. We could take this a little further to see why
>between perfect good and perfect evil lies perfect harmony
Literally bullshit from an ontological perspective. There's no reason for perfect good to move closer to evil in order to somehow make a "better good"

I don't, and it's not really the point. I think emulating God means something different for everyone, but "becoming God" is where it turns to rebellion. We must choose our seats wisely, at least that is certain. Not because where we sit is of importance, but because how we sit changes us.

You serve God by becoming his conduit (a.k.a. being Godly.)

I see, so in your mind God is just a conduit for some higher being? That's being godly?

If I understand the problem correctly, this is really hard to tackle for me because im not particularly religious, despite seeing a lot of valuable /x/ material present in at least most of them. So, first id say that I was referencing perfect good and perfect evil as approaches to infinity. That is to say, good may approach perfect good forever and vice versa evil but theyre asymptoted by the concept of perfection. At least as humans understand it.
As far as how religious people seem to approach this is just
>God works in ways that humans cant understand, so its an important part of the greater good but another human will never be able to explain it to you.
This is non-falsifiable so it is literally impossible to dispute. Anything you say will be reduced to
>all part of the perfect plan, you just don't get it
Maybe there's some validity to that but do to the nonfalsifiable nature of the argument there's also no way to dig any deeper. It just ends there. Personally, I dont like that kind of talk about what humans "can never understand". "Not understood presently" would be more palatable for me. Maybe people knew something in the past or will in the future. We shouldn't put our lack of understanding on everyone else for all time, even if only because it is rude kek

Every time there's a discussion between right hand and left hand, it feels like people are choosing between charity work or murdering babies
