>>40735737So all the universe is is pure consciousness (God, I am that I am, sense of being, Dao, Nirvana, Monad, Unity, Source, arguably YHWH too (depending on interpretation)) and the separated/manifest world (including astral/mental/causal planes as well the physical).
So there is pure presence and nothingness and potential - Source, omnipresent, omniscient, at peace, content... (the 0).
And there is the world of opposites, separation, duality (big small, here there, winner loser, master slave self other, me you, male female, pleasure pain, past future, etc.) - manifest existence (+1-1).
In Daoism manifest existence is the "ten thousand things". (though ofc there are infinite things not 10k)
The location of Source, is inwards and now (very very now/present).
The location of manifest existence is outwards, and also less present, more timeline (past-future) oriented.
The process of creation is via separation/differentiation.
The process of uncreation is via returning to pure consciousness.
So you start out as yourself (nirvana), enter one of infinite worlds/lives/timelines (samsara), screw around, maybe have fun, maybe fall in love, maybe suffer horribly, maybe have a mediocre/middling existence, maybe reincarnate and repeat - then eventually you ascend Jacob's ladder and return to Source/nirvana.
>Nirvana (alpha and omega) -> samsara ("the great game") -> return to yourself (Nirvana) -> ...So the RHP is about the return to God, unification with God (yoga means union), unity.
The left hand path is about embracing separation and your personal desires and aiming to be a winner in the game, not to exit the game.
>why seek God?Because it's peaceful, and genuine respite from any kind of inevitable neuroticism you get from believing you are a limited being whose survival is uncertain.
Also because once you're there, you can manifest anything or reality shift to <anything>.
Maybe some ineffable longing that cant be explained also...
