Literally the most obvious case of pagan deities just straight up being demons on the entire planet, the second being mesoamerica. Totally fucked practices that have kept the descendants of Ham in the permanent hell they've inherited for the last 4000 years

That's a huge range of traditions, with some little similarities in there but there are important differences too. The similar things are from the same African tribes being brought to the Americas in the slave trade. Some of the important ones were Yoruba, Ewe, Fon, and a few others who were (possibly?) influenced by them or had similar cultures.
My thoughts for the following are:
>Vodou
Somewhat interesting, especially when you remember the influence of French culture and Roman Catholicism. The French influence includes Freemasonry and the French Revolution. Those influenced Vodou even to the point that it influenced the Haitian Revolution. Freemasonry contributed the secrecy and some of the structure of many sosyetes in Haiti and the diaspora. Influenced Palo and by extension Narcosatanismo.
>Santeria/Lucumi
This one is worth looking at, but I do want to give it more focus in later posts. Spanish culture and the influence it had on Santeros is very interesting. Also. it has influenced other practices like Palo Mayombe/Monte. Mainly Cuba has the most interesting version, but it is all over the Hispanosphere.
>Macumba/Candomble/Umbanda/ect
Next post will detail more.

>Brazilian Umbanda/Quimbanda/Macumba
This one has the same influence from the culture of enslaved African tribes, but also with the same European Catholic ones as Vodou/Santeria. Similar to Santeria, worships Orishas, but the spelling is Orixa because Portuguese orthography. Same with other terms from Yoruba, like Ashe/Axe. This one has special interest to me because Brazil is a country with great wealth and great poverty. Also a lot of gangs and weird pseudo-Christian cults. One of those cults has a replica of the Israelite temple. Bizarre stuff is common in Brazil.

They still argue today over who influenced who. Of course everyone argues their chosen practice influenced the others. And actually many the practitioners are initiated in at least two at the time
These are materialistic "religions". Like Krsna says in Bhagavad Gita, they are tamoguni, of the quality of darkness. Even lower than demon worship. And the bible also, lets remember Moses was raised in Egypt, so he would know what he was talking about when in leviticus it says not to "brand ones own skin in honour of the dead", like they do in the initiation to palo. And like greek magical papyrii, actually egyptian, say about making pacts with spirits
How many of us here speak spanish?

From what I've seen and heard, it's a highly effective magic, but at the same time it's incredibly self harming
That's why individuals who practice it might be able to get millions of dollars only to die suddenly a couple years later
That's why Brazil, Haiti are shitholes
I always rank magic in terms of how prosperous the land/country where it originated from is
That's how you spot the stuff that's really worth it

Ham was Noah's cursed son and is accepted amongst Christians to be the forefather of the African peoples. Africans, for obvious reasons, do not enjoy being reminded they come from a cursed bloodline.

Its very interesting, actually. When the negros kicked them out they found goetia grimoires in their houses and integrated them with their practice.

Brazil is a very rich spiritual country, a natural reflection of the nation's astounding diversity. From the indigenous Tupis, Guaranis and Gês, to the african religions, Spiritists (following Alan Kardec and the brazilian Chico Xavier), Christianity and Protestantism (which also resulted in the Israeli Temple cult you mentioned, the "evangélicos"; the temple is a replica of Solomon's Temple), even Buddhism and Judaism from XVIII-XIX century immigrants, the list goes on. New faiths originated from this scenario, mainly the folklore or the different sects in the Northwest region. I've heard some interesting stories from Umbanda (and Kimbanda, which many treat as "Umbanda but directed towards others"), such as people seeing clones of themselves during rituals or being dragged by very intense invisible forces. Another enriching talk I had came from a southern Guarani tribe, whose leader I could speak with and he explained their view of natural elements as spiritual entities, specially the trees. It made me realize just how negligently our society treats their faiths: we cut down their (native) trees to exploit their wood and, as a "spiritual reparation", build them a "prairie chapel". As such, we hurt the spirits and yet they are the ones burdened to pray as a reparation.

All in all, you realize just how enriching faith's diversity can be, specially since the different views are often complementary and/or allow you to see things in a way you otherwise wouldn't, gaining new meanings, respect and spiritual inspiration.

I don't think indigenous African religious beliefs are very well documented.
Some of it seems interesting like voudou stuff (which isn't where voodoo dolls come from btw) but some of it just seems like complete superstition like santeria

Really? But where then? Ive seen the kini kinis in palo. And the, espiritismo cruzado, maria lionza or whatever, also... asientan espiritualidades en muñecos... but, mmm. Yeah, you're right. In my research of vudú ive yet to see any of them actually talk about or use dolls. They have vacà, but they dont store them on dolls. So far its just a pop culture thing although the pop culture has yet to present any of the other shit they actually do on vudú... almost as if they wanted to misrepresent on purpose. But then whats the origin? If i had to, id say palo then.

This, masons generally study Eastern and Western mysticism. Everything else is just a weak hodgepodge of syncretism
