It depends on a few things. If you're a kid and want to be le edgy, it's not as based as it once was but is still fine. If you're talking about the Church of Satan, it's basically just a club for atheist wannabe libertarians, which is pretty cringe. If you're talking about working with the adversary or in a draconian tradition or whatever, that's pretty based.

Depends. The church of satan from Anton LaVey is cringy because the people who are a part of it don't actually believe in Satan. They're LARPers who like to be edgy and giggle when people do a double take. Actual Satanism is much darker, and less organized, but is around. Look at the Order of Nine Angels to get an idea of what actual satanism is, and not just repackaged hedonism.
