Are there spiritual portals or hotspots one can physically access without needing to conjure? *Relatively* untouched regions such as deep Appalachia and the west are said to be strong but are there any actual known locals?

check out your local mountain range for vortexes and hotspots. The natives always had stories of them climbing up these mountains to survive the great flood and often accompanied with stories of the thunderbird. Hotspots are often located inside state or national parks as that was one of the main reasons the national parks service as founded.
