Holy shit reddit is shit full of cunts who deserve a bullet to the back of the head. Anyhow. The truest religion is necessarily the oldest. This is my belief. You can however think of oldest in the sense that it was created/existed before time began. Such as gnosticism claims of itself. But I believe there are three options, maybe four. Either, Hinduism is right. Upanishads, Shiva, Vishnu, Agamas and all that. Second, Gnosticism without the gnostic apocrypha which was forged is correct. Jesus as a kabbalist mystic who taught that the true god is not YHWH, but non-existence (read the texts), but still that YHWH and his books are of great value (thunder perfect mind mentions this). Option three, is that there is some third form of an ancient primordial religion which we need to rediscover because it has been lost to time. So old, that gobekli tepe, Stonehenge, "pagan gods" and "paganism" as a whole, is way way later. Something primordial, like Hinduism and gnosticism say of themselves. I can imagine this one being true but the other two options might respectively be true as well. And fourth but I don't like this is that Buddhism either Mahayana or theravada is the truth. You can tell me what you think of this. This is not definitive, I am very open to criticism and possible change of views, it is in fact just theories and nothing more.
