I am a believer that one dreams of all they have experienced & their soul uses it as opportunity to learn. Patterns emerging, traumas unlearned. It is hard to bear the weight of whole worlds on your shoulders during the day, the soul needs time for respite and study.

In my specific reality, my higher self occasionally uses my body while my conscious swaps places with her for the time. It is to remain humble & grounded - a goddess is only as divine as her vessel. Dreams that cause me to "fall" "into my body" are caused by this.

its a way for our brains to both "practice" our survival responses as well as automated brain-data and body-data cleanup/repair scripts running in the background. if we were moving and awake at all times there would be no time for this necessary automated cleanup so it explains sleep as well.
