>>40757883 (OP)One of my friends died a few years ago.
I used to get annoyed with him because he had embodied a lot of the traits I wanted for myself.
He was energetic and outgoing, good with martial arts.
When we had started to grow up in our early 20’s we met up at a party and he spent the entire night crying to me in a room alone. He told me he felt like a failure, and like everyone else was going someone in life but he was still stuck.
I just hugged him and told him that he wasn’t as bad off as he felt, that we are all struggling, and more importantly that he was very important to everyone.
When the morning came (we spoke all night), we went to get breakfast with a small group of people.
I was hung over by this point and as we were walking he told me he wanted to show off his skills in rhyming, something I’d always been good at. I told him I wanted to hear it but I was too hung over. That I’d listen to him next time.
Two days later I got a call from our other friend that he was dead.
I’ll always regret not doing more, not listening more… the truth is though I did everything I could. If you loved your friend unconditionally, then know that it’ll be ok.
We will always miss our friends we lose.
But we shouldn’t lose our own lives because they chose to.
Don’t give up.
