if i remember correctly it was about selling magazine subscriptions. the whole "maybe ed mcmahon will show up with a million dollars" trope was more popular than people fantasizing about the lottery. PCH also filled your mailbox with junk mail with his dumb face on it. not the same as the wwe guy tho. ed was johnny carsons sidekick on the tonight show. Growing up very poor in the 90s, this was how I always fantasized about becoming rich. I couldn't play the lottery or anything yet, so I would imagine what it would be like for Ed McMahon to show up with a giant check and a film crew.
