Hey there /x/.

I recently came across the story about the alleged trafficking activity at 1634 Coit in Grand Rapids, and I felt like giving some context about the area and how weird this area is, and by area I mean the Grand Rapids metro, and by extension Michigan as a whole.

I saw that people mentioned that Michigan is/was the second-highest for sex trafficking, and honestly I believe that. There's a disturbingly high number of sex offenders in this area, and it's usually crimes against children. In a lot of cases they are effectively open secrets. There's a bath house (basically a gay sex club) called The Diplomat Club, and one of the former people involved in it was outed as a pedophile, but that's far from the only example. There's a pool hall/bar in Holland called Ride the 9, and that's also owned by a pedophile allegedly. I also knew several people growing up who were arrested for molesting children, one of which was a very cookie cutter suburban couple where the mom ran a daycare, that's very common here. It's common enough that it feels like people are desensitized to it because there's not even really a taboo here about discussing if you were raped, and the Church tends to hide these pedos as well.

There are also a lot of trucking companies based here, and I remember once driving on a back country road and seeing a man walk a teenage girl rather possessively from a semi tractor to an SUV, and there was a guy waiting by the SUV. This was in broad daylight, so there was no mistaking what I was seeing.

More broadly speaking, there are other systematic issues in Michigan that I think exacerbate the problem. Michigan has a huge problem with its foster care system not reuniting families, and oftentimes placing them with total strangers rather than extended family (Article talking about this in detail: https://michiganadvance.com/2025/07/02/forget-the-ceremonies-in-michigan-every-day-is-family-destruction-day/). I can post more.

Possibly yes. The other thing, though, is that getting put on the registry is as simple as getting busted taking a leak behind a dumpster. I look at the map around my house and there's almost 100 of them within a 1 mile radius.
But yeah tens of thousands of kids just vanish across the usa every year. Michigan's outside the top ten, but not by a lot.

So who knows?

California, Texas and Florida are also the states with the highest immigrant populations. Do you think illegals get reported?

Which groups organize and fund immigration efforts? You know which population charts come next, right? You see where this is going?

hello friend, Im in Texas and have suspicions of a local eatery. they are run out of a house in a neighborhood, and seemingly have some sort of legal immunity. they are known to have large parties going well into the morning, if you look at records they have hundreds of complaints that just get shuffled around the courts never actually receiving punishment or verdicts. one of the co owners IIRC has a previous conviction for a sort of sex crime. its all just so sus and knowing of these places makes me think it might be one of them

Man I miss hanging out at Madison circle downtown. Such a fun place to skate. Good times. I’d always go to that comic book store and walk to bigbys right down the road afterwards to read my new manga.
