I don't know where to ask this, so I came here. Since I was 17, I have been a huge fan of Blue Oyster Cult. At the time, I was a huge fan of metal and even enjoyed listening to black metal too, but because of BOC, I ended up putting metal away and getting a thing for hard rock and classic rock. If I have to say, since I started listening to it, it is like my libido went out of control, and I became much more careless (sometimes melancholy) about the world around me, and is like the aura of the place I am turns heavy. And I noticed that the first time when I stopped listening to it for several months (rock in general too), when I returned, all came back. At first I thought I was imagining things, but it happened again and again. I always believed that music has magic powers, and I try to be careful, but I never thought it would come from one I used to listen to. Is any anon here familiar with this band? Can you confirm if indeed there is some magic on it or if it is unrelated? Like it just pulls some trigger and is not their music per se. They are the only rock band I still care to listen to.

Priests were the first poets in history, and until recently, poetry was accompanied by music... Who's to say that our modern rock stars aren't actually priests in disguise?

Oh, very good band, not too many I can think of that can produce good albums with such consistency. Magic you say? Yeah, would say it is that good. But guess it is also the associative memories for me there ... :)

What should be my next BÖC album to grow spiritually? I currently have Tyranny & Mutation, Secret Treaties, Agents of Fortune, Fire of Unknown Origin. Inclined to give later stuff a chance now.

Bro you're not imagining things. Music has a huge effect on the soul, and the ancients recognized this.
