When I took shrooms I looked in the mirror and I looked like a methheads corpse, I was all gaunt with pale greenish skin. I looked normal before and after but while I was on that stuff it seemed to be the actual physical reality. I wonder about that often. I've done some bad things, did it show me my soul like Dorian Gray?

I had a similar experience recently but instead of seeing myself gaunt it was like I had morphed into someone's abusive drunk dad. It destroyed a lot of arrested development I have as far as my image of myself goes. The mushrooms absolutely show you the current state of your spirit

Same. When I came back home I realized I was just deceiving myself into thinking there was any substance to my existence. Fucked me up.

No, mushrooms help with color perception. The reason you look like a veiny meatbag is because you are a veiny meatbag. You normally dont notice, you can actually replicate part of the effect with filters to make your veins stick out more, nurses use it.
