Freemasonry isn't really about leaving public images all over the place.
Yes, there are symbols. They have relevance within Masonic ritual, and a good number of them we're willing to explain the meaning of publicly.
The only times you really see an actual Masonic symbol in public is as part of a monument. Masons are active in local communities and, yes, sometimes have monuments.
Contrary to popular belief, certain images people mistakenly think are Masonic actually aren't. For example, the great seal:

Another symbol people frequently think is Masonic is pyramids. Shriners (Shriners are all Masons) use pyramids as a part of their symbolism but it's not a symbol of Freemasonry per se.
