Throughout human history, rationality has appeared to have caused this splitting effect. Splitting purpose from being, thought and action, word from meaning, and so on. They believe that rationality leads to unity while they are annihilating everything in to parts. Take picrel, there clearly is some truth connecting these patterns in nature, however they will deny this as coincidence because of the lack of a "causal link" despite their god Hume proving that causality, as they conceive it, is not real.
