I don't normally come to this board, I always thought you guys were schizophrenic freaks, but lately it seems I'll have to eat my words.

I have been having visions of what I think is a demon, or perhaps more objectively, an evil spirit that is haunting(?) me. Most recently it was in the shower tonight, and as I was basking in the hot stream of water lathering my hair and face with suds, an eerily lucid vision of a woman appeared in front of me. I didn't see all of her, just her face and shoulders/upper torso. I knew she was evil because not only could I feel it in her presence, I could see it on her face. She had a callous and wicked complexion to her that you often only see on people that are demonically oppressed/possessed. She seemed to be from another time, middle-aged and worn, with her hair done up formally and in a bun behind her head, she was dressed modestly in puritan clothing.

Anyways, she didn't speak but stared at me intently as if her goal was to taunt me perhaps. She went as quickly as she appeared, but not without leaving a shiver down my spine. What does this mean? I don't drink or use drugs, I'm completely sober as the on call nature of my job requires it. Am I cooked bros? Should I go see a priest?

You should see a doctor just to check if there could be any underlying medical cause. You will like be referred to a psychiatrist. Remember to take it slow and ask questions, and don't take psychiatric drugs unless you absolutely need to.

I wonder if stress could have something to do with it. My sister killed herself a few years ago and I question if I have muh PTSD now because of it. I have panic attacks every so often as well as derealization episodes almost daily. As for psych meds I would never take those. I think I'm just overworked and stressed out, but I will still heed
