But our servitude is more pleasurable in a wholesome, non-worldly way than any sort of normal hedonistic pleasure. Just like a woman is only truly free when she is dutifully serving her children/husband, so are we the same under Christ. It sounds backwards, but to those who don't understand, go find a woman who is either not a good wife/mother or never became one because of her own choices, and you'll realize what I mean. Our spirit, which is who we truly are, longs to serve Christ, and our flesh does everything it can to convince us otherwise.
