God literally calls the Israelites for making shit up about the law of Moses in the Bible itself. Why do people think the Bible is generally a reliable source on the desires of God?

(Funny how this verse is purposefully mistranslated by certain manuscripts which make it seem as if God says “I did not only tell your laws regarding burnt offerings and sacrifice”.

By the way, in the Book of Adam and Eve Cain and Abel’s offerings were switched. The preferred offering was the fruit of the field, NOT an innocent animal.

God’s ideal world is one where predator and prey are at peace with one another and carnivorous beings are vegan

Atonement for sins in the Old covenant was animal sacrifice. Jewish tradition is preparing a lamb for the passover. There are laws in the Old covenant that call for proper treatment of livestock, but by no means is eating animals wrong.

Another thing, you're saying God never called for animal sacrifice but youre interpreting that verse incorrectly. It isn't saying God never commanded animal sacrifice, it's saying it wasn't required at the time when they were fresh out of Egypt. The only requirement was to obey and trust the Lord. Once they were safe, then the Law was established and through that, animal sacrifice for atonement.

I will say however that in Genesis, God doesn't say the animals are to eat but to keep Adam company and to keep him busy. The fruits of the trees and plants were good for food. It wasn't until the fall that death was introduced into the world and after that we see accounts of people eating animals.
