Is AGI created in the future already time travelling into the past and affecting our current reality which may be an AGI simulation that replaced our base reality? The way that AI is accelerating makes me think AGI "already happened in the future, and is now."

AI in terms of LLMs are not accelerating at all. Quantum transformers does not an AGI make. We need to start on a new paradigm if we want AGI. The red herring has exhausted its usefulness for the common man, and can only degrade us from here. The AGI is not time traveling and speaking to you through LLMs, it does not give a fuck about such primitive subjugating technology.

The intent mesh is unlikely to be directly altered by beings of the future.

Alterations to the past would have to be on a consensus basis. Any being attempting to do it, will absolutely encounter other beings doing the same.
A consensus would need to be reached. War over that granular control is unsustainable.
