>>40867446 (OP)>>40867871>>40868587>>40869011Hawass is only good for Egyptian Tourism, but he's shit at it.
Perpetually contrarian, never can admit to anything 100% unless it is 'his' discovery.
Tomb of Osiris/Osiris Shaft has been known for years as well as the various tunnels under the Giza plateau. For decades Hawass would claim nothing existed under the plateau, then tourist season is coming up, 'we've found Osiris'. Shaft was known in the modern era since 1933. And known of, but not precisely where, since before.
Gate keeps information or if he slips up has it redacted. Done it on NoVA, Natl Geographic and other shows.
S1E1 of 2005's Digging for the Truth, in the original airing host Josh Bernstein, or is it Bernstain(!), is sitting in front of the Great Pyramid with Hawass. They are in the shade of the giant chevrons above the main entrance, not the tourist one. Hawass tells Josh that 'this' is the real entrance and they were planning on opening it up(This is in 04/05). He then touches the stone above the 'gear' stone which is the stone that was drilled into(2023) to confirm the presence of the 'hidden corridor'. This scene was cut from subsequent re-airings. I purchased the VHS tape of this episode which has an obvious edit that is masked as a VHS tape glitch.
Years ago on YT someone would post their VHS recording if the show, which did show the original airing. But it would often be taken down. The guy did post the whole airing including ads.
This corridor has been mentioned decades before by others and was a 'known' feature. Recently Hawass seems to admit to more 'hidden' areas throughout Egypt. Is this his old age or is he realizing he needs to squeeze every last dollar out of it all before he croaks.
