It seems like the Torus or Torus shaped realms/dimensions crop up a lot in psychedelia and new age spiritualism. I even experienced a Torus like entity when I did shrooms for the first time, what's up with that? Is it just what happens when our brains stuggle to process geometry or is it something else entirely?

Part of the significance is looping- you go far enough one way you don't hit an edge, you get back where you started. The appearance of infinity (at lower dimensions) in finite space (at a higher level)
The old saying "the furthest you can see is the back of your head" is not too far off

One of the hardest dmt trips I had, I went 3rd person looking at myself and my head tilted straight back and I started flowing into a toroidal field. It looked just like pic rel at first as it formed out of my mouth

This is like seeing snowflake shapes while doing drugs and going mad over it as if it were messages from beyond. You are just overloading your brain to make things that arent there.

Look up HTUM, Hypertoroidal Universal Model. It posits that space-time is shaped like a Torus and that the big bang is going to loop mack in on itself and return to a singularity, ot rather shift from the outer surface area of a Torus back to the inner one.

Dude, same.
This spiraling torrent of energy burst from my head and spread upwards and outwards to infinity, then curved downward, and coalesced up through my feet. My body was the center of the torus.
I can call forth that feeling at will now. If I focus for a few seconds I am suddenly extremely sensitive to that toroidal field.
I wonder what this means. Does this happen in the background at all times? Or just with focused attention?
