I mentioned this the other night, but for those of you who have never felt like anything is normal, or "right", what WOULD feel normal?
This question came up because I was discussing the feeling I've had since childhood where everything is wrong, and the person I was speaking to said "Would it feel normal if a bird started speaking English?" and I realized yes, those would feel much better and more "right" than the world we live in now.
It's not necessarily what I WANT, it's that a bird speaking English would actually feel CORRECT.

What would feel right to you?

Fire feels like it should be a handleable substance, something that can be dropped into a copper dish and stay alight for hours

There should be a network of archipelagos near the coast of the western United States

Touching someone's signature on a letter they send should let them know you've received it

Ceilings should generally have something interesting painted on them to look at

Humans should be able to Jump Good

Caves should be functional tunnels with a few merchants and travelling salesmen throughout

Instant noodles should cook in the packaging when you open them

Books should have built-in bookmarks each chapter, a brass tab that you can flip out

If you put a little dirt and water in a jar, it should slowly trace back over geological development over the course of months, going through a crude succession of biomes

Pens should be refillable at various convenient ink-covered stations

a faceless nameless website where you only communicate through text and images should foster a disdain for prejudice

At least here? The way things were before 2015. Basically over night the world I grew up in ceased to exist and in its place appeared a fascist dictatorship.

normal is to be surrounded by people like me regularly doing regular things in areas and buildings that are like the ones ive been around and theres no ideological or spiritual battle or gossip or drama

Warning coloration animals should taste like Willy Wonka candy, not kill you horribly. Neon toads in the Amazon should taste like Skittles or Jolly Ranchers. Same with paint, it looks like delicious melted ice cream. Things that look tasty, should be tasty.
