I want to be a demon again

I hate being a human in your endless cycle of reincarnation. Every now and again I get glimpses and memories of what I was before and the entire cycle is ruined till I get reincarnated again. Things weren't so bad before, you know. You had the occasional retard who sold their soul for trinkets, but most of the time we just scrapped a little off the top and you had depression/malaise for like a week at most. In exchange for that you got safety and protection. Hell, you even got access to a technological leap here and there. Now the only technological advancements this world gets if someone just so happens to remember a fragment of some tech or process and if we're lucky it leads to something fruitful.

It happened in dreams that felt a bit too real to be dreams. You know the feeling of looking at with your eyes opened but they feel like they're closed? Something similar to that but for all your senses. I've had dreams where I wake up only to be restrained again and wake up in this world. Bear in mind that the people who restrained were dressed up like power rangers. I've also had dreams of looking at very early hominids on screens with others gathered in a room like you're listening to a report/briefing.
