You can’t instantly tell if you like somebody accurately 99% of the time. A persons essence is bursting from the face, eyes, general appearance, aura, the way they carry themselves. And your detection is more sophisticated than some crude apprehension that might be thrown off if some is having a particularly good or bad day, or some temporal emotional interference. No, you can actually ascertain the deep essence of people instantly and decide (but it really isn’t even a decision, more of a reflexive categorization) whether you like them or not.

Something as true and simple as this has been utterly defamed and dragged through the mud, what a disgrace

Disagree. I've found people to be pretty different than I expected on the surface as I get to know them more. Even someone who's stiff and serious at work but light and whimsical elsewhere counts for this, but the most interesting ones are those who have some kind of big hidden driving force that they reveal later.

It IS true that unless they're really putting up a front, people's basic feel tends to stay the same. And by feel, I mean something different and shallower than whether they're good or bad, serious or silly, or what they care about. It's like how the popstar-loving girly girl will probably always feel that way even if you find out she's actually a profound artist exploring religions or something, and that feel is pretty important to your overall sense of someone.

But LIKING SOMEONE is a different matter. I found my coworker annoying and inconsiderate until one day I had a revelation I should open up to him. After I did, he didn't act any differently yet I found him a lot more pleasant. We get along really well now. Go open up to someone who's not malicious but hard to tolerate and you might be surprised.

I appreciate the effort post but I’m just flabbergasted by the first paragraph. I cant or maybe just don’t want to believe that people can’t detect subterranean thoughts/attitudes. You don’t have to know their entire life story or “secret” motivations to ascertain how they eventually bubble up to the surface and express themselves. You might not be able to guess the exact details, but you know something is there

I know people know this on a visceral level, so it bothers me when they claim that they don’t. I view as a perverted modern safety affectation. I know you fucking know, we’re very sophisticated detectors

This. Only the intelligence agencies and some others know my secrets. Normal people have no clue who I am. Some think I’m really rich and others think I’m very poor. Some think I’m a womanizer others think I’m ugly.

I actually have a pretty deep respect for the sentiment you expressed here but to even grasp that there’s a divine transformation you must admit that you are capable of, and do indeed see the difference between a real truth and a false truth in the first place.

And ultimately I simply don’t agree that human beings and the souls they carry need or should even use a transmuting force to turn false truths into real ones.

We are capable of reconciling reality without that type of interference. We can do it. I refuse to to take that easy way out

and that is how our "expectations/presumption" mechanism works, people tend to assume all sorts of things about almost anything when the reality is totally different

i appreciate your will to open up and "accept" he is a being of its own and that most of the times our perception of others is influenced by our own projections which are a sort of impediment for us in building meaningful relations

Sometimes it gets so bad that an animal cannot survive and reproduce without outside assistance (g-d)
