What ancestral god(s) or deities am i supposed to worship if im half cuban and half irish?

propitiate the local deity; ancestral spirits are your relatives, and are not worshipped but remembered / given offerings

there are deities of places and times.

I mean like the gods that my ancestors worship/venerate in the past, their old religious practice before christianity washed it all away. With the irish ig that would be celtic paganism. And with cuba the indigenous taino people had their own polytheistic religion.
Should i blend the two and develop my own spiritual practices or should i just pick one?

You can try go "native" but you need to know what you're compatible with. Even if you start to worship some native deities now you're not gonna be allowed into their consensus just because you're cuban or irish. Some will tell you it's a blood thing, it isn't, it's tradition. You're an adult that grew up outside native tradition i assume, so even if you start praying to cuban orishas or some irish god like Aengus, it won't be any different from a weeb traveling to japan and worshiping shinto deities. Thea, essentially. She's the main reason why Taino were primarily matrilineal in their legacy. Alma was also a name that she's commonly known by. Kinda.

The capital of Atlantis (the island of Cuba of which is located uphill from) was know as Thea, and a common nickname for her was "the flower of Atlantis". Atlantis was is interwoven with the Greeks, except Atlanteans processed their legacies matrilineally, which is likely where the Taino got that tradition from, though its been far too long for any of them to remember anymore, of course.

Idk i just dont have any spiritual practices rooted from my past and idk how to go about it cuz my ancestors come from 2 really different cultures so feels confusing. Its so simple if ur just 1 race cuz sometimes families keep the traditions going so it becomes a staple in your life growing up.

Why ancestor veneration and race matters. I am mixed race and feel horribly lost and isolated. The Spirits of different races have different agendas.

It won't matter because those specific spirits live over there, and you'll still be alone venerating them here.

Gods are not omnipotent, and they are limited to where they originated or were worshiped the most.


You guys have to first acknowledge the gods of the land where you live. You live in that specific angle of the Big Dipper, and it is a specific lense or filter of the divine that is meant for you.

Gods are bound by spiritual laws. Just like how you should go through your diplomat to seek the help of a foreign prime minister, you need to do something similar to get the best success with a spirit from a distant land.

Before petitioning gods from overseas, you can petition the main gods here in North America like Jesus, Mary, and even Santa Muerte.

Jesus was greatly assimilated and is the ancient solar archetype, even luciferian or promethean. The virgin Mary, especially Guadalupe, is the ancient mother goddess archetype, I even see her as Diana of Ephesus. Santa Muerte is the Great Void and is a special entity that is a blend of ancient traditions. She is unique to North America and is an excellent folk saint to petition.
