Nobody ever comes to save you. I'm sorry this is the first thing I have to tell you but it's true for men, unfortunately. This is the lesson in a lot of good literature, and honestly even most anime these days so it should be a pretty familiar idea.
So, with that out of the way we understand that leaving things as they are now cannot possibly result in a gf. You gotta change. So it depends on what you're willing to do.

This can be kind of a punch to the ego, but if all you want is gf and companionship, it might work out fine.

If you're sitting in your room on your PC playing a game or some shit, you are never going to get a gf unless one falls through your ceiling like a meteor. Even just going outside to go for a walk has better odds. Putting yourself in places where people with similar interests are gathered increases your odds further
This is the last option because even though there is work involved, it is ultimately luck based.

OP if you want a GF, you gotta be around girls first. The most common is through: School, work, connections of family or friends. If you have a hobby you take up where girls are around that’s a plus too. Wherever it is that gets you hanging around girls, that’s where you go.

Second, you gotta attract them. Have patience, you gotta spend some time around them, especially if you’re looking for a potential GF, you don’t want it to be easy. With being attractive, here’s the biggest things. Don’t be too overweight, have good hygiene, don’t be an asshole. That’s really it. Other things like looks and money are a plus, but you can do just fine by focusing on the above. Make a point to listen to them and avoid bitching and complaining. Be someone they want to be around.

Third, close when the opportunity presents itself. If she’s flirting with you and smiling and changing her voice all sweet when she talks to you, be bold and make a move. If you get shot down, remember that it’s a numbers game like everything else in life and just keep trying and being patient.

This is important OP. If you’re a good listener and ask the right questions in the flow of conversation, you can get them to open up and tell you things that make them feel bonded to you. Most people just want to talk about themselves. Also eye contact, and confidence are helpful. Confidence and making them laugh are two of the better things you can do. But if you aren’t funny, at least be confident and keep eye contact.
