There is some okay manga. Very little anime even approaches the borderline of what can be considered "okay," let alone good. Like 99.99% of anime is slop created by and for low tier asians. Whereas maybe something like 98% of manga is the same, though the number is slightly different due to the increased degree of "auctorial authority" granted by the circumstance of a single mangaka controlling the art and writing, as opposed to an entire studio of artists creating a manga which tends the creation toward entertainment slop instead of intellectually worthwhile content. One Piece isn't the worst manga, it actually has a good amount of subtext that almost nobody talks about, but 99.99% of the One Piece discourse pertains to the surface-level marketable slop which is basically window-dressing for the unspoken esoteric narratives happening in the background. In that light, One Piece actually does have a lot more depth than the vast, vast majority of successful pop media content in all forms. I don't really want to take the time to explain why OP is good, there have been a lot of "Oda knows" threads on here. And even the content of those threads often misses the point of why OP is meaningful.

Probably not, but I'm not really a manga specialist. But One Piece is really good as a dramatic depiction of the dynamics of the human spirit. The way I see it not one manga gets all stuff correct, there's crumbs spread everywhere. One Piece is overrated as fuck , but it has some stuff that is ok, it's just too overrated though so I wouldn't base too much shit on that (the main protag's literally "sun god", so the goal of mangaka is for you to irl start worship same god the masons do, so it makes it difficult to pallet other stuff when there's heavy bias like that going on).

I think the on I vibe most is is probably HxH and Kengan Omega. HxH reveals tons of structures and truths, but leaves also stuff out (constant surveillance via tech or entities). It did tease the entity part more on briefly during the titanic arc when one almost dead person got almost possessed, but it's very miniscule portrayal of the level of parasitisism going on in the real world. He chose not to put too much emphasis on that during entirety of the series, even if that must be one of the biggest struggles we face. Regardless I see it very good overall

I have no idea about the cultural or whatever background. However, it appears that the Japanese sometimes try to transport some messages through fiction, e.g., Anime, Godzilla movies, etc.

One reason for this assumption is:
1. Even serious academics suspect that Godzilla was used to transport some anti-atom message or to discuss the fact that the Americans use a neclear weapon against Japan.
2. We know that books like "Animal Farm" or "Gulliver's Travels" were used as a kind of hidden political testimony against the ideology of their epoch. For instance, "Animal Farm" criticized the development of the Russian Revolution during the time frame of 1930 to 1946 or so.
3. In Eastern Europa during the socialistic eara, there were some writer who did the same.
4. It seems that the Japanese know nearly no censorship regarding Anime or Manga. Apparently, such vulgarities like pop culture are outside the sight of the ruling class.
5. Especially shōnen or those like it often lack a clear moral or theme the author tries to deal with. A trait that can be used to hide some otherwise forbidden or deprecated messages within it. Imagine, if Dragonball doesn't have some deeper meaning, maybe you could create a manga in the same tone but with a message that you only recognize at second thought. Let's call this one Berserk.

Yes and no and I base that on the several of experiences I've had smoking some green.

Either I'm the MC or I'm a silent observer of another MC but what I've noticed is that a lot of these wild imaginary rides through my imagination is similar to what I've seen in anime shows in terms of layout but the story is new.
Possible that they influence the direction of my imagination but that could also be true for other writers too then.
In a sense I have my personal episode, playing in my head so my mind is crafting it (real) but knowingly it's also fantasy (fake) hence, it's both.
If I could write or draw, perhaps I could make it to be the start of a manga.
