Because that means something almost exactly just like a dragon CERTAINLY did exist
And humans have a culture the world over of dragon legends that'd be pretty fucking unlikely to have been by the pure coincidence of them discovering full sets of bones and doing full reconstruction.
And if the entire world has something akin to dragons all at once in something eerily akin to living memory
Then that calls into question the entire narrative about either how recently dinosaurs lived or how long humans have been around.
I will say this: I'm not necessarily buying entirely into this. It's more just that narratives and ESPECIALLY historical narratives, are used as a control nexus and pretty much everybody will admit this in one context or another. Whether or not this would actually add any scientific validity to my schizo assumption above probably doesn't change anything about the fact that official narratives of the past are not to be questioned. No alternate theories or ideas allowed- even for fun. The reddit "fact police" always shows up to get pissy with you until the conversation dies. They can't even leave it alone enough to let people talk about it in peace. Everyone is perfectly allowed to LARP about vampires with no interference, however. Probably because they're either not real or they stand absolutely 0 chance of being meaningfully revealed and so low key speech policing would be unnecessary
