Any /x/ schizo authors here?
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into writing about the paranormal or other weird stuff?

what would you even write about? have you actually thought about it or are you gonna be the book equivalent of modern youtubers making slop videos on shit they don't really understand or care to research?

Let ai do it for you, and don’t proofread it

Quote a bunch of other authors in any field you wanna write. Makes you seem like you are serious/well researched, and saves you from having to come up with mew shit. Books practically write themselves

Don't think I have great writing advice but what are you interested in? Advice with what also?

Start a blog. Publishing your ideas in an unpolished format is better than not publishing them at all.

I havent decided on a specific topic but it would likely be something related to occultism, the nature of spirits and souls themselves and entities. Yes, I would do research. And would be seeking to do the exact opposite of what you asked and wouldnt rely on AI at all, and I dont watch any paranormal sloptubers.

I don't get this. Shouldn't you have sonething to say then decide you want to write it down? It's like backwards bro. If you want to be a writer but have nothing to write you're kind jerking it arent you.

writing is a creative process and is best done like a meditation. first, set your intention to be a writer, believe it, accept it, start writing. ovoid obsessing or trying too hard, have patience. write what you know about. if you dont know a subject, then learn it.

If i didnt think i had anything to say I wouldnt be considering writing a book. I dont think everyone or anyone should or could be a writer or write a book. Its moreso how to best distill my thoughts and things I have to say into a format worth reading, even if it is incredibly niche.

all stories share the same format that your high school english teacher desperately tried to teach you. its not complicated.

try telling your story to someone in person. if you can keep their attention for 45 minutes, then spend the time writing it down as a book or whatever.

if you just have thoughts, buy a decent journal and just write something in it everyday, doesn't matter what.

My high school creative writing teacher was more interested in trying to drunkenly have sex with students.

i was a teacher briefly in a past life, youre not wrong, those high school teacher women are pedos and they almost never get punished. they get caught a lot, but almost always swept under the rug. i have first hand knowledge, colleagues walked out of the school in the middle of the day just to end up at a different school the following year.
