Metaphysiques of Showering
>feel like shit for weeks
>can have more 5-6 hours of sleep for days
>realize I haven't taken a shower in 2 weeks and I stink
>take shower
>feel completely energized and have a great sleep
was is just coincidence, mental health stuff; or does taking a shower have actual metaphysical implications?

Also what are the implications of people with adhd and sensory issues avoiding showering...what does it do to them or what about them makes them avoid it

When you shower you are getting grounded.
The positive charge that builds-up over time gets discharged. In modern life people are electrically isolated from earth usually by rubber soles and/or tires.
Increasing levels of electromagnetic radiation are probably making it even more critical to get grounded regularly.

Yes, taking a shower is rejuvenating, hot or cold water both are good, think of the soldiers who’d take freezing cold showers because even that was better than not showering. It removes dead skin which is all over your body and causes slight irritation, hydrates the skin, if you don’t use toxic poison chemicals, then you can really moisturize yourself and exfoliate and clean your face and look way better and younger. It literally cleans you, physically and metaphysically.

Why do you think this isnt just simple biochemical interactions?
You were disgusting and had all kinds of bacteria and fungus all over your body that were preventing your skin from doing skin things and also taxing your immune system forcing it to fight everything on your skin.
Do this when you get older and you could get an internal fungal infection, which can be lethal.

Why not both? A lot of spiritual practices included behaviors that are considered self care scientifically

Let's get metaphysical!

>feel like shit for weeks
How does it "feel" to be shit? I think if I was shit, I would fear being pooped out. The rectum is the doorway out of the warm, wet, dark confines of the bowels that birthed and nurtured me. To be expelled into the dry, cold void would mean death.

>can have more 5-6 hours of sleep for days
Sleep is influenced by digestion. When the body is stressed, it uses more nutrients, which creates more waste, which must be expelled from the body.

>realize I haven't taken a shower in 2 weeks and I stink
Pooping is one way for waste to get out, but so is sweat. Unlike poop, sweat forms outside the body, allowing foreign filth to accumulate on the skin and if the skin is cut then the filth may infect the body.

>take shower
To take is to make the other a part of the self, but to shower is remove waste, making part of the self a part of the other.
Showering sacrifices a part to preserve the whole, much like pooping.

>feel completely energized and have a great sleep
Waste and filth stress the whole, threatening to tear it apart and bring death to the whole.

>was is just coincidence, mental health stuff;
There is nothing coincidental about mental health. Every sensation must be accounted for, and waste must be identified, separated, and expelled in order to preserve the whole person.

>or does taking a shower have actual metaphysical implications?
Showering expels waste in order to preserve the whole body, and the body is the most critical part of the self because it defines the physical self from the physical other. When you don't shower, you are metaphysically keeping waste as part of the self. Why? What makes you so attached to the waste? Perhaps you are uncertain about how to define your self in comparison to the other. Perhaps the cycle of living in waste and then expelling the waste is the only way for you to feel whole.

Water is known to be energetically cleansing in many traditions.
The noise drowns out distractions, the warm water increases blood flow, meditation can be deepened, psychic gifts enhanced, relaxation increases, water is the element of the subconscious, removes toxic chemicals and microbes from your body.
Sensory monotony, physical relaxation and energetic cleansing create the perfect situation to connect to the subconscious

1. Set an Intention: Before you step in, set a simple intention. For example: "I open myself to intuitive insights," or "I release any energy that is not my own."
2. Practice Shower Meditation: Focus on the sensation of the water on your skin. Listen to the sound. When your mind wanders to your to-do list, gently bring it back to the physical feeling of the water.
3. Visualize the Cleansing: As the water flows over you, visualize it as a stream of bright, purifying light (white, blue, or violet are common choices). See this light washing away any mental fog, emotional heaviness, or clinging energies, leaving you clear, bright, and open.
4. Ask Questions: This is a great time for a "shower scrying" session. Hold a question in your mind, then let it go. Don't force an answer. Just be open to images, words, or feelings that might bubble up from your subconscious.
5. Acknowledge and Ground: When you finish, take a moment to acknowledge the state you're in. As you turn off the water, you might visualize your energy field being sealed and protected, carrying this clarity with you into the rest of your day.

I made this grounding bracelet, it attaches to a rod in the ground. Before this version it was just twisted on the wire so it would snap after a few weeks. I would forget to redo it because the effects weren't noticeable. But after a couple days I would feel like shit when I woke up. Redo the bracelet and I would feel better. Thats what convinced me it was doing something, how I felt after I didn't use it compared to when I would. After a long time not not doing it I can feel something draining from my body. And if someone touches me with it on I can feel something passing through me from them.

FYI carpet is insulating and most other flooring has a synthetic waterproofing layer between it and your baseboards. Unless you know for a fact that you have genuine hardwood/stone/tile directly adherent to the baseboards or foundation, the floor in your house is not grounding. Even then, hardwood could be coated in an insulating finish. It’s just cheaper this way and you suffer for it. New construction is awful for its build materials

I have these and shower daily. It's always a bit of a slog but I do it because my sensory issues make it so when I lay in bed with unwashed skin I feel even worse than having to jump in the wetness of the shower; which actually feels good, it's just the idea of it all that is the issue, overcome your stupid lazy indolent mind. (not saying you are that way in particular but we all are, the mind is the devil)

>>metaphysics of brushing your teeth
Actually a pertinent topic. People for thousands years used miswak and ate relatively healthy. Now today we use plastic toothbrushes to smear flouride toothpaste on our teeth that are filled with mercury silver fillings to wipe off the corn syrup that is in every food.
>>metaphysics of tying your shoes
Also pertinent, modern fitted shoes destroy your gait and balance over time, zero drop wide toe box is only way to fix it, again purely a modern issue that we have created for ourselves.
Also this thread has been extremely kino so far anyway.
