Dark City is a good /x/ movie, you might should watch it. All greentext below is a spoiler for those who don't intend to:

>he only has memories of one thing, a beautiful place he must return to, a place the archons don't control, but he doesn't know how to get there, the movie is largely about him trying to find a way out so he can get to this "heaven"
>as the movie goes on he uses his growing powers to get in a reality altering competition against archons to allow himself to escape

Yeah it's creepy if we're really on a giant rock or snow globe...either way it's scares me to think about. What's really beyond the blackness outside here. The fact people go their entire lives just accepting that we're here all of a sudden then easily join the system is crazy. Like why do we look the way we do, why does anything look the way it does. is it the same on the outside of the blackness? The more I think about it, things start to look alien to me. Like humans begin to look strange. Feet legs it's all weird.

Is anyone else losing track of time, and seeing future events?

The green represents a particular understanding about the nature of the world. I know it looks like "green is le bad / le good" seems the obvious conclusion but that's wrong because both good and bad characters are green.
Basically the green represents the illusory nature of the world and the power of this understanding.

Murdoch is the "one" that can see and tune (change reality). Dar City is the prequel to the Matrix. The Animatrix supplies the back story as to how the war between man and machines first broke out. Basically someone "murdered" a housekeeping robot and the robots collectively chimped out demanding human rights very similar to the trans rights stuff were seeing now. My theory is that instead of building an army of Boston Dynamics type robots, they're attempting to convert humans into robotoids and nevertheless the same legal battle will ensue around what constitutes "personhood".
