Similar to humans, can probably interbreed but non-conscious. The night hunting parallel niche to humans as day hunters.

A series of planetary catastrophies "woke up" humans after the beginning of the High Saturnian Age once the distiction between day and night became sharp. Cryptids emphasised the night hunting where we de-emphasised our sense of smell and became first day hunters then farmers. In particular we have speech and they do not and while broadly similar or cultural knowledge is in the form of memes and is verbally transmitted. So without speech they cannot do that. Probably could be taught speech if you caught one young.
