Alright, you absolute bunch of fucking idiots, it’s time to talk about AnimBot. This goddamn plugin STILL hasn’t been cracked, Maya itself is already a total ripoff, but now they want us to fork out even more cash for essential tools that should’ve been in the software years ago, And the fact that nobody has cracked it yet? What the hell is going on? Why are we all just sitting here letting them take our money for something we should already have?

I've been wondering this same thing for years. That being said maybe I'm just retarded but I don't know if I'd call anything I saw in this plugin "essential" other than the inbetweener and you can just get tweenmachine for free which is less bloated anyway

I don't know if this works across everyone's PC, but I can usually get away with running Animbot (enterprise edition, 2.6) by disabling Maya on my firewall (both inbound/outbound rules,) and installing it in the middle of a session. There are times where it'll ask for your email and lock you out of using it, but it only takes a few seconds to freshly reinstall it and try again. You get this stupid error code upon using the inbetween bot, but it doesn't actually do anything besides freeze your application for a few seconds.

Now that I've realized studio library has a pose mirror function I officially have no idea why people would pay the exorbitant amount of shekels they ask for for this shit bloated plugin. Everything useful it does is either built into maya natively or can be found elsewhere for free in more lightweight forms

OP here from the future, HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOW TF THE SUPPOSED INFERIOR SOFTWARE HAS THIS MUCH ANIMATION FEATURES THAN MAYA???, mirror pose, tweening, pose Library, noise, do you know that I need to download 3rd party plugin for these feature in Maya?? Fuck Animation layer, these NLA editors are so much superior, I have a clear visual guide of how far I want to offset keyframe in NLA than in animation layer, I feel like taking a redpill after discovering how much Maya user spread misinformation

I haven't explored this 3d cursor thingy but I've heard it can act as a temporary pivot, something that is only available through animbot in Maya, this sucks so much knowing that all blender animation feature is basically locked behind paywall in maya

It's like having a locator ready to go at any time. You can snap things to it, use it as a pivot, use it as a bookmark in your scene... It can be handy
The only thing that sucks is that for some reason you can't seem to match rotations, only translations, so it's useless for 1:1 matching. I hear they're fixing this soon though
