Anyone know how I can fix the topology on this so it doesn't get fucked when I put a subdivision surface modifier on it? Thanks.

If its just a cyclinder, just remake it and have the subdivisions be (number of insets you want) or (number of insets you want x2). It's probably a dirty way to do it but who cares. If i was feeling even lazier i'd make the whole raised section its own thing

You make the raised bit a seperate mesh so you don't need to intergrate into the cyclinder, that way you can have different subdivisions. So long as they're concentric its all fine. It really depends on what you want and what it's for
