Well, "fill that in in your head" is just making up headcanon. Sure, you could watch the end of Maho and say "I bet they decided to live together and that somehow worked out", but you could just as easily propose that Liko would be too invested in being a teacher at the magic school to move to the non-magic world, and Mirai would be busy with her own schooling/career, and Haa-chan has to stay alone in space 90% of the time to protect the universe, so it's nice to see that the characters canonically were able to work it out. Also, something that I personally felt was lacking when I watched Maho 1 was how they didn't show much of Liko's perspective during the 5 year gap, so I liked how Maho 2 showed it in a few flashbacks. The scene where Haa-chan caused the flowers to bloom to cheer Liko up was really sweet. Anyway, I'm not going to insist that you have to like Maho 2, but I personally enjoyed a lot of content from it and the new ending.

Kira Kira Precure A La review 6!

Ichika's first love was really cute and Yukari had to know that whole damn time.

Summary for the anons that need it: Ichika has no appetite confounding her dad, but he informs Ichika the boy next door is quite familiar. Next day Ichika is doing laundry in a daze when the breeze takes one of her sheets, attempting to grab it, she fails and is about to fall to the alley, but Akira is there to save her. Ichika is full dokidoki now and at the Precure bakery the girls are baffled by Ichika's first love; Yukari subtly taking the most enjoyment. The girls force Ichika to take them back to her house to get a glimpse of Ichika's crush and they get everything they dreamed of. Akira arrives, meets the girls, and then asks for a great chocolate store. The girls enjoying the chance to tease set Ichika up on her first date. Out on the town with Akira, Ichika realizes the folly of being so familiar with everyone as they embarrass her in front of Akira. Still they make it to the chocolate store where Akira gets her present, as well as a big chocolate heart for Ichika. But MoTW steals Akira's present and tramples Ichika's chocolate. Undeterred, Ichika grabs Akira and heads for the Precure bakery. There the girls come together to make a perfect replacement for the stolen chocolate using Ichika's heart present; a dog in doghouse confection. Akira setting off is again confronted with the MoTW and the girls step in. But there's so much stolen chocolate that it tramples the four Cures and Akira realizes Whip is Ichika. Manning up Akira uses their body to protect Ichika and in a bout of determination becomes Cure Chocolate with a nose for sniffing out chocolate based MoTW. The MoTW is quickly mauled with a bitter flavor of 90% Cocoa. Afterwards, Akira and Ichika chat and just as Ichika asks for another date, her dad pops up and announces Akira is girl. Cooking Lesson: Chocolate Brownies!

There was so many little things in this episode that it made me feel like Wonderful might have been some sort of 2.0. You have the romancing, well attempt at it, and all the little traits each cure has reminds me of the whatever wand it was that Wonderfuls used to get their animal powers. I think the recent seasons are doing this a little better by making sure most Cures get something even if it's a small scene.
