This latest episode was really slow paced. The part where Oguri and Berno were eating dragged out when it could have been a brief montage, and the anime added some new sections to pad the episode out so that it would end right before the race started.
If the episode cut down the SOL section and paced the episode better, it could have ended at pic related and would have been way more hype.
That said, it's still a good episode. But definitely the weakest of the show so far.

I watched the whole 10 episodes in two days and like it but it's very superficial, there are some cool anime moments but it lacks substance overall. At the same time it's such a comfortable plot that it's easily accessible, and it has an allure to it that I can't quite put my finger on (probably gambling). Then I found out it's a franchise with probably the same pre-cooked storyline / structure. Liked the trainer a lot and his backstory was the bare minimum conflict it needed to make me keep watching. But I still feel like a bugman.

S2 is ass. Soap opera melodramatic ass. It felt like watching Ano Hana at times with how much durrama there was.
I can rewatch the movie or RTTT or even S1 (the latter for the cute and comfy factor), but S2 is unrewatchable because a huge stretch of it is moping from injuries.

I think it's pretty clear at this point that Cinderella Gray is AOTS. It broke records in Japan, China, and the West, the ratings are sky-high, and it practically revitalized the Uma Musume franchise all by itself. At first, I expected Gundam to do well, but holy shit did it tumble into a fucking pit with the last episode, I expect it to fall below 80 once this week's ratings are out. Other than that, all the shows people cared about turned out incredibly strong, it's safe to say they'll all stick the landing over the next two weeks.
